Philippine Figure Skater Diane Gabrielle Panlilio Solid at ISU Junior Grand Prix Debut

11 September 2017
13-year-old Diane Gabrielle Panlilio laid down two solid performances at the ISU JGP Riga Cup held last September 6-9 in Riga, Latvia. With a total score of 77.05, she came in 33rd place in the junior ladies event.

She is the youngest skater to ever represent the Philippines on the annually-held Junior Grand Prix circuit. The competition also marks her transition to the junior ranks, having previously competed at the novice level internationally.

Panlilio hopes to use this as a learning experience moving forward. The Philippine Skating Union is also looking to encourage more young skaters to step up and seek international competition experience.

Congratulations, Gaby!
